refreshments etc.) and return via Little
Longstone, Great Longstone and passing
near Ewe Close Farm back to Bakewell -
approximately 8 miles.

- Langsett Barn Car Park (10 a.m.).
North America, Cut Gate and Margery Hill
returning via either Pike Low or
Mickledon Edge and Hingcliffe Common. -

To Hathersage via Millstone Edge, Callow
Bank, Carhead Rocks and North Lees
returning via Leadmill Bridge, Hathersage
Booth and Greenwood Farm. - approximately

April
- Ambergate Station, near Crich
(SK349517). Via the Cromford
Canal, Crich (option to visit the
National Tramway Museum), Crich Stand and
the Sherwood Foresters Monument,
Whatstandwell, Chase Bridge and return
along the Cromford Canal tow path. Approx
8 miles
Tuesday 11th
May -
Torside, Dark Peak (SK067984).
Meet fo a 10.15 am start at Torside
National Park Car Park (fee payable) on
the south side of Torside Reservoir. - 10
mile walk along the TPT and gritstone
edges on the north side of Longdendale.

Wednesday 9th
June - Low
Bradfield (SK263918). Via
Dale Road to Agden, Rocher Wood and High
Bradfield (an opportunity to visit the
Bradfield Brewery shop), Holdworth and
the Nag's Head at Stacey Bank for lunch
and perhaps a sampling of Bradfield
Brewery's "Farmers Ales" at
£1.80 a pint. Back via Damfask
concessionary path to Low Bradfield.
Approx 8.5 miles.
Wednesday 14th
July - The
Barnsley MC Forest from King's Tree,
Derwent Valley (SK 168939).
Our annual visit to the "Barnsley
Forest" to check on the progress of
the trees we planted to mark the
Millennium. This is a shorter walk
intended to appeal to our less active
members but more energetic options are
available from the "Forest"
onwards including an ascent of Margery
Hill via Cranberry Clough, which Tony H
is intending to inspect and photograph
the restoration work carried out to the
bronze age cairn in April 2010.

- Edale. Via Nether Booth,
Jaggers Clough, Crookstone Hill,
Madwoman's Stones, Grindslow Knoll or
Ringing Roger, depending on the state of
the party and the weather - approx 9 (or
7) miles.
